The most popular age for chicks is at their growing stage of 6-14 weeks old. No need for heat lamps, get these older chicks straight into the yard and pen. Watch the chicks grow and get them used to the family and environment before they start laying around 5 months old, sometimes a little older depending on the breed.

Known as one of the best laying breeds, and known for their friendly personalities, Isa Browns will give up to 250-300 eggs every year. 

The famous Australorp is renowned for their egg laying - this growing chick is 10 weeks old.

A popular Australian breed known for great laying. The Australorp will lay through out the year, sometimes laying 300 eggs per year.

The beautiful Wyandotte, notably because of  contrasting laced feathers, is from America. This breed is used for egg laying and meat. 

Wyandottes often lay 3-4 eggs per week,  from 20 weeks old.

Our roosters and chickens are free range on our poultry farm in Clyde.
